The Harvard China Fund is closely monitoring the developing situation in mainland China concerning the spread of the COVID-19 (coronavirus), and paying close attention to travel advisories from Harvard University, the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.  At this time, we plan to hold interviews for the Harvard China Student Internship Program – Summer 2020, but postponed to late February and/or early March.  This plan may change with rapidly evolving developments on the ground and as we consult with our local partners in Greater China.  We will do our best to communicate timely updates should there be changes, as well as more information about our timeline and program in the next couple of weeks.  Please continue to check back on our website often and social media channels.

Meanwhile, we urge you to consult Harvard’s travel guidance through Harvard Global Support Services, and health information and resources at Harvard University Health Services for accurate information if you have further questions or concerns about the Coronavirus outbreak.  We trust that everyone at Harvard recognizes that no individual is at fault for this public health emergency, and that any racist comments or actions against Chinese citizens or those of Chinese heritage have no place on our campus.
