Emergency Fairbank Center and Harvard China Fund Funding
The Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies and Harvard China Fund are pleased to offer emergency funding in the form of small grants up to $4000 to cover unexpected costs that have arisen due to disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. All Ph.D. students whose primary area of research is Chinese Studies are welcome to apply. The selection process will prioritize need and preference will be shown to students who have not already received emergency funding from GSAS or other Harvard sources.
The application may be accessed and submitted through CARAT and will be due by 11:59 pm on Friday, June 5. Required materials include: a brief statement of need (no more than two pages double spaced) making clear how your request is related to disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the intended use for the funds, an itemized budget requesting up to $4000, and a statement from your advisor confirming your need for these emergency funds.
If you have any questions about this funding or your eligibility, please contact the Fairbank Center’s Program Coordinator, Nick Drake, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 617-495-4007.
